I bought it 3 weeks ago and we are so happy with our new fridge! It looks great in the kitchen, fits well with our other appliances from KitchenAid!

Bought this refrigerator with hesitation as it is counter depth and was afraid I would not have enough room but it is honestly more roomier than I thought. It runs quiet and works perfectly.

We had a very difficult time finding a refrigerator to fit our space. Kitchenaid was the winner. It has a good reputation with appliances. So far we are pleased. The icemaker is small and there's no option for crushed ice. You would definitely need to buy ice or make some ahead if having a party. It has taken some time to get accustom to the storage of items with the counter depth. The holidays could be a challenge. It's not a refrig for a larger family.

Decent quality, pretty poor design

I'll preface this by saying that I did not choose this refrigerator (it was included with the house we bought). Had I chosen I would have still gotten the same style, but would not have gone for the in door ice/water dispenser. Anyway, the refrigerator itself seems like very good quality. It is well lit on the inside. The ice maker is incredibly fast (unbelievably so). It runs silently. And while I have only owned it for about 6 months, there have been no major issues to date. My problem with it, however, is the design. There really isn't a lot of practical room in the fridge. This is mainly due to the shelf support brackets that come way down. This breaks up the shelf areas into small areas which limits where you can put items. But perhaps the biggest limitation is that the ice maker/bin, which is actually inside the refrigerator part due to its bottom freezer layout, takes up a TON of room, and considering the ice bin itself is actually very small, it just doesn't seem worth it. The maker/bin takes up 9 1/2 inches of width and 11 1/2 inches of height all the way from the front to the rear of the unit on the left side. This is almost 2/3rds of the width of the left side! Now as I said, I would not have chosen this particular style if I had to choose. I would have much preferred a standard ice maker in the freezer without a dispenser. But be that as it may, if you are considering this unit, be aware of how much space the ice maker consumes. The other fault I have with it is the ice dispenser itself. First it does not funnel the cubes down into the glass at all, rather it spews them outwards. And when you pull your glass away, it always emits another several cubes. I have gotten used to putting my cup up as far as possible when dispensing, but there is no avoiding cubes flying out when you pull your glass away, and invariably I end up with several cubes on the floor. I can't believe this actually passed design reviews.

The Kitchenaid refrigerator (model KRFC400ESS) I just got with my new Pulte home is the WORST refrigerator I have EVER owned. This fridge is extremely flimsy and very small. The water dispensing feature does not work properly and also leaks all over the floor. The fact that Kitchenaid put their brand on this blows my mind. I would not recommend this appliance to anyone.
